This notice explains our online information practices to inform and make you aware of the choices you have in the way your information may be collected and used.
Our Commitment to Your Privacy
Keryx in Community values your privacy and works hard to provide the security, policies and procedures which protect the information shared with us.
Personal Information We Collect
On some areas of our site you are prompted to provide us with personal information or information about other people, businesses or organizations -for example, when you register for an event, apply to be a volunteer, apply to host a weekend, share your testimony, make a donation, or register to receive newsletters. Also, some areas of our site may require personal information before access is granted. The types of personal information collected at these pages vary, but may include the following kinds of general information:
- Email address
- Phone number
- Credit/Debit Card Information
We may from time to time give users the opportunity to participate in online surveys to provide feedback on aspects of our ministry. These surveys are always optional and data collected in them will only be used in aggregate. Data collected this way helps us to better understand how people respond to our ministry efforts and how those efforts might be improved.
Included in our application for Keryx in Community weekends is a media release form. Any photo or video taken with your image during the weekend will be held to your signed consent or dissaproval prior to being used in any form of public media -such as promotional flyers, web site graphics, etc. The media release form may be individually downloaded here.
The Way We Use Personal Information
We use the information you provide about yourself for the purpose stated on the form you complete. For example: when applying to attend a weekend, volunteering to serve on a weekend, etc.
We use the information you provide about others for the purpose stated on those forms. For example: applying to attend a weekend, host a weekend, etc.
We use email addresses to verify your weekend registration, send updates about your weekend, fulfill your requests for newsletter subscriptions and to answer any email we receive.
We may also use email and/or mailing addresses to send updates about various aspects of our ministry. To exclude yourself from any of these mailings, electronic or postal, please contact us. (You may also opt out of electronic mailings by clicking the unsubscribe link included at the bottom of each mailing.)
Cookies and Other Automatic Information
We may use non-identifying and aggregate information to better design our Web site and online services. For example, we analyze how many people visit each area of the site, how long they stay, the type of browsers that are being used, and the type of devices used to visit our site. Some of this information is collected through Google analytics. If you do not wish for this information to be captured, please sign out of all Google accounts prior to visiting the website.
Like many sites, we may use “cookies” to help analyze our Web site traffic. Cookies are small text files that are transferred to your computer through your web browser. They do not provide us with any personal information about you, your computer or any data on it. This data is analyzed in aggregate, not at an individual level. If you choose not to accept cookies, it will not affect your experience at our site.
We may contract with companies and individuals to perform functions on our behalf. Examples include but are not limited to sending email newsletters, maintaining databases and sending mail. These third parties use your information only to fulfill the task we have hired them to perform and agree to hold your information to the same level of security as we do.

Keryx in Community uses Secure Socket Layer (SSL), an electronic data encryption mechanism, when collecting or transferring sensitive personal, business or financial information online.
